We serve comfort foods made to order from scratch. We source locally and invest in nearby food businesses to keep the money circulating in our community. We are proud to offer local grass-fed burgers, local greens, homemade soups, stews, and desserts.
Jeff and Johanna Herron met in 2000 while working at a fine dining Italian restaurant in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was an aspiring chef and she was a waitress. Jeff continued on his culinary path with a gift for flavor and passion for minimizing food waste. Jeff's roots in fine dining restaurants were nestled in communities that were peaking

Jeff continued on his culinary path with a gift for flavor and passion for minimizing food waste. Jeff's roots in fine dining restaurants were nestled in communities that were peaking in growth and change, much like Ridgefield. One thing he has learned is that sourcing local ingredients is the best thing for quality, flavor, reducing food waste, and building up a community. Johanna waitressed and bartended her way through college and began her professional career helping small farmers scale up their operations through identifying consistent and reliable markets. Her passion was establishing farm to school programs and helping farmers enter restaurants, retail, and international markets. Jeff and Johanna had always hoped to open a restaurant and finally found the perfect fit in Ridgefield, Washington. With their daughters, they are thrilled to call this a family-run & chef-owned business.
Our pledge: We have built our lives around agriculture, small towns, and cooking good food for good people. We are honored to share our talents with the community for you to enjoy. Please be respectful and kind when you are in our restaurant and you can expect the same in return.
